Seminars pre-planned according to a certain program and conducted in our department within the context of Residency Training Program are part of the academic training in which the residents, under the consultancy, supervision and management of a relevant lecturer, investigate in depth and prepare a presentation for a particular topic as to include related researches and recent advances.
Approximately 32 seminars yearly have been scheduled for 9 months by starting from October until the end of June. Seminars are conducted on Thursdays every week between 8.30-9.30.

As from academic year of 2010-2011, Seminar program will be in accordance with other European countries about Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation curriculum adopted by Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Section and Board of the European Union of Medical Specialists in line with the Bologna process aiming at creating European Higher Education Area and establishing joint higher education programs including higher education qualifications.

Rules of preparing seminars:
  • The objectives of the seminar must be specified following the title slide
  • The course of the seminar must be included
  • The focus must be on the basic information and research data related with the topic within the last 3 years
  • Systematic organization of the seminar must match with the objectives
  • Hand-out must be prepared for the seminar
  • End-of-seminar assessment is to be made
  • At the end of the each year, all seminars are written on a CD and disseminated to the participants by residents’ representative
